Dare to care for your woods!
Solid wood furniture is more than just pieces of furniture. They are handcrafted works of art that bring warmth, character, and a connection to nature into our living spaces. To ensure you can enjoy your solid wood furniture for generations to come, proper care is essential.
Here, we’ll show you quickly and easily how to care for your wood surfaces.
Basic cleaning
How often?
As needed or daily.
What to do?
Gently remove coarse dirt like crumbs with a soft kitchen cloth. Be sure not to push the crumbs into the wood. For sticky stains, use a slightly damp cloth to clean. Then, wipe the wood surface with an especially soft cloth like our dust removal rag.
Why?
If dirt is not removed immediately, it may penetrate deep into the wood and set in. Especially liquids can cause long-term damage to the wood if not cleaned quickly.
Why the dust removal rag?
The particularly soft and open structure of the cloth helps to pick up a lot of dust with just one wipe. The soft fibers also prevent scratches on the wood.

Does oil also work with wax?
Our premium wood elixir is a hard wax oil. This means that the oil has a wax content. This is as high as possible, as the wax creates a characteristic protective layer on the wood surface that forms a lotus effect. Applying an even layer of wax can be very challenging. Premium wood elixir can be applied like an oil using a cloth or our application pads. This automatically forms a wafer-thin and even layer of wax on the wood surface, while the oil deeply nourishes the wood and emphasises the grain.
How to use premium wood elixir?
Below we explain exactly how you can best use our premium wood elixir. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

1. sanding
Gently sand the wood surface with our sanding pad. Make sure you always sand with the grain.

2. wipe off
Now carefully remove the newly formed mould dust with the dust removal rag. Make sure to wipe the wood surface as dust-free as possible.

3. application
Now apply a small amount of premium wood elixir to the wood surface or our application pad using moderate pressure and circular movements. Only apply a little oil at a time and rub it in completely before using new oil. You only need a single coat of premium wood elixir. The wood surface does not need to be polished.

4. curing
Leave the freshly oiled wooden surface to dry for at least 12 hours. After 12 hours, you can carefully check whether the wood surface is still damp. As a rule, the oil has hardened after 24 hours at the latest. If the wood surface is still damp after 24 hours, you have probably applied too much oil. In this case, you can wipe off the remaining oil with an old but clean kitchen towel. The drying process will now take another 24 hours

and the wax?
The use of premium wood wax is identical to that of premium wood elixir. However, as the wax is much firmer than the oil, we do not recommend using the application pad, as fibres from the pad can come loose in the wax and then be worked into the wood surface.
For this reason, we recommend our application-rag for the premium wood wax
What do the ingredients do?
Conventional wood care products pursue one strategy when developing their products: cheap fillers mixed with chemicals that cause the actual effect. our approach is simpler: we only use raw materials that have a natural effect on the wood

Linseed oil
Linseed oil is a classic oil for wood preservation. It naturally forms linoxin in the wood. Linoxin is an extremely hard oxidising substance that hardens the wood naturally. As a result, there are fewer scratches and defects in the wood. In addition, linseed oil emphasises the grain of the wood particularly beautifully and vividly. Unfortunately, this results in a clearly noticeable yellowish discolouration of the wood. In addition, the odour of linseed oil is described by many people with respiratory diseases as being strenuous and heavy.

Walnut oil
Like linseed oil, walnut oil also forms linoxin in the wood, albeit to a lesser extent. However, the much clearer walnut oil has another major advantage. Walnut oil counteracts the yellowish tinge of linseed oil and makes the wood appear more colourful. The odour is also pleasantly nutty.

Carnauba wax
Carnauba wax is a vegan alternative to beeswax. It comes from the leaves of a palm tree and is therefore a renewable raw material, just like our other raw materials. The wax is significantly harder and has a much higher melting point than beeswax, protecting the wood from dirt, moisture and heat. The wax is deposited in a thin layer on the surface of the wood and fills the small irregularities in the wood, resulting in a very smooth surface that cannot be achieved by sanding alone

Eucalyptus oil
The eucalyptus oil does nothing for the wood. But it does all the more for you as the user. We have worked closely with asthmatics to test various odours. The combination of our oils with a specific amount of eucalyptus oil has achieved the best results. Asthmatics can use our products completely without irritation, even indoors. Even if you are not asthmatic, you will still enjoy the pleasant odour of the oil.
